BIOME was designed using various sustainable and Well-being design methodologies:
- Refurbishing an existing rooftop site with extension
- Natural Materials throughout for longevity, biodegradability and well-being: Cork, Linens, Massive Wood from sustainable sources, Granite, Brass
- Eco-freindly building materials, VOC free, for healthy indoor air quality
- Natural ventilation & Natural light
- Soft Color scheme with earthy tones to create a sanctuary feel
- Views and interior planting promoting well-being
- Cocooning zones for privacy, prospect and refuge
Identity
The logo is an indication of an engineered spiral rising upwards towards the light - signifying a modern form of emotional and spiritual aspiration to reach for a feel good sensation. The reference to the BIOME structures in the EDEN project inspired by the Geodesic Domes of Buckminster Fuller. Refrencing Bucky's philosophy embracing human evolution in harmony with the planet.
