First Prize Winner
Coming up First in a carpet design competition in 2019 sponsored by Veedon Fleece UK, among design students at Inchbald School of Design, London.
The 2.5 meter in diameter 100% silk carpet is a one off piece made by hand in Nepal by Veedon Fleece.
The design is inspired by how man made object when left to the elements reproduce the organic patterns and flow of nature. The original pattern is based on cardboard stacks and how when exposed to humidity, they bend and arch and start to decompose, returning back to the earth.
The four prize winners carpets were produced and professionally photoshot in London for Veedon Fleece's design catalogue and publicity.
